Welcome to Temple School Lagos, Nigeria. Our school is a co-educational school and it begins from preschool through to secondary school. The secondary section is a day and boarding school. The preschool is located on 213 Ikorodu Road Ilupeju and the Primary is located at Temple Drive off Olusoji Idowu Street Ilupeju, Lagos. The Secondary is located at 4-6 Odegbami Street, Off Aba Johnston Street, Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, Lagos.
With over 14 years of total commitment to outstanding world class education, Temple School is proud of the tradition of excellence it is building. Over these years we have shown our complete dedication to the total development of every student.
Our mission, values, and beliefs provide focus and direction to staff, students, parents as well as all stakeholders throughout the community.
As a Preschool through secondary school, staff, parents, and the community are able to watch as students develop and progress from the solid foundation that we build together.
The staff members are empowered with world class tools for teaching and learning and the school invests heavily in training and development both in and out of the country in order to continue to share international best practices in education; parents and community are valued and informed; and most importantly students feel supported throughout their learning process....
Temple School has an ongoing comprehensive assessment system in place to identify, target, monitor, and improve student performance as well as curriculum and instruction.
A developmentally appropriate curriculum addresses all core domains on a daily basis. Reading/ Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies instruction is provided by a highly qualified staff and is aligned with the curriculum of England and Wales. These standards are naturally integrated in everyday school life. Each content area has a strong emphasis on reading and writing as literacy skills are considered to be the foundation upon which children are prepared for full participation in today’s society.
Diversity in learning styles is addressed in the planning of individual teachers. Teachers modify assignments, provide tutoring, and allow time for one-on-one and small group instruction to accommodate the needs of identified students. After school intervention and enrichment opportunities are provided through Extended Learning.
Parent and community engagement is of utmost importance to Temple School. We have over the years supported two charities; the Children Transit Home, Idi Araba, Lagos (a home for lost, destitute and abandoned children), and the block D (the children’s ward) of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
Partnerships with parents, students, staff, and community are valued and we welcome parental participation and the opportunity for families and communities to be involved in educating our children. Goals are set and met through team effort and we are blessed to have a dedicated school family that supports our quest to educate all children.
At Temple School we work hard, we play hard, and we celebrate! We are proud and appreciative that families entrust us with the opportunity to educate their children. We are committed to excellence in education and the all-round development of our children.
Welcome to the Temple family!!
